Hunt Instructions

LOADING YOUR GIFT BOX: Your Hunt Gift (and any additional items) will NOT be placed directly inside the Hunt Item. It should be placed INSIDE A BOX, and that GIFT BOX will be placed inside the actual Hunt Item. A. Set the permissions on your gift according to your preferences and take it into your inventory. B. REZ A BOX. Edit the box and go to the Content tab of the edit window. Drag your Hunt Gift into the Contents of the box. It is a nice gesture to include a photo of your gift item in the contents of the gift box, if possible, but it is not required. You may also place a landmark that is YOUR OWN and/or a notecard with information about your shop or region INSIDE your gift box. (Do NOT place these additional items directly inside the Hunt Item itself.) C. You may leave the GIFT BOX as is, or add color, textures, or shop logos to the outside of the box. D. NAME THE GIFT BOX "CURRENT HUNT NAME--YOUR SHOP/REGION NAME". (i.e.--) E. SET THE PERMISSIONS ON THE GIFT BOX to COPY/NO MOD/NO TRANSFER. (This will not change the permissions you set on the gift inside the box.) F. SET the Gift Box "Click to: OPEN" under the GENERAL tab of the edit box. G. TAKE THE BOXED GIFT into your inventory, then rez your HUNT ITEM. ************************************************************************ LOADING THE HUNT ITEM: A. RENAME your hunt item to whatever you like. B. DO NOT change the size or texturing of the Hunt Item. C. DO NOT change the permissions on the actual Hunt Item. All final Hunt Items should be set to COPY/NO MOD/NO TRANSFER. D. The Hunt Item will have been set in the edit box General Tab to: FOR SALE for $0, to purchase a COPY of the item. DO NOT change this, but DO check to see that it is still set accordingly. E. You're ready to hide your Hunt Item! ***************************************************************************** HIDING YOUR HUNT ITEM: A. Do not hide the hunt item inside another prim, especially a transparent prim. You will only frustrate and alienate hunters, especially if they are newbies. B. Do not hide the Hunt Item too close to vendors. Hunters will be very unhappy if they accidentally purchase something they do not wish to purchase. D. Hide the Hunt Item within 30 meters of your LANDING POINT that you indicated on your Hunt Application. If you must hide the Hunt Item farther from the landing point, then you must use the provided HUNT TRACKS to lead the hunters within 30 meters of your hiding place. E. Please hide your hunt item fairly. Remember, this is to provide fun for and encourage exploration by hunters, and to bring visitors to your shop or region. ****************************************************************************** THINGS DO HAPPEN... We are understanding and know that occasionally things do happen, but please give us a heads up. If you are going to be delayed on one of your deadlines, please inform the hunt organizer as soon as possible before the deadline. If your shop is moving before or during the hunt, PLEASE be sure to inform us ahead of time. To inform you Hunt Organizer of "happenings", please fill out the GWHG HEADS UP Notecard and send it to your Hunt Organizer. Also send an IM. These things should not happen habitually.
